SychoSide is a streamer and content creator from the small Canadian province of Prince Edward Island and the founder, leader and co-owner of The 8th Eye, a gaming community with a strong focus on fun and adventures.
SychoSide began using the name between 2002 and 2003 when he started creating wresters in old WWF/WWE video games. The original creation of the name was merging the words psychopath and suicide together. The character was someone with a split personality whom you'd never know what he'd be up to.
The name continued on the internet where he would join several electronic wrestling feds, simply known as eFeds. This would be from 2005 until 2010. From then on, the name was just used here and there online forums for video games, wrestling, movies and many others.
As a gamer, he's been using the name since the same time but became more active in 2016 on Xbox in which he made his preferred platform to game on. However, he grew up with various consoles from Nintendo, Atari, Sega and Sony.
It was around this time in 2016 that he also created The 8th Eye, which began as a crew in GTA Online but has since expanded to a group of gamers which can be found on Red Dead Online, Call of Duty, Halo, Splitgate, Forza and various other games where teams and groups can play together.
SychoSide started in the world of streaming by using the built in integration of Mixer on the Xbox around 2017. However, it wasn't until early 2019 when he started streaming more, using the services from Lightstream for overlays as he didn't have proper equipment. At the end of 2019, he met and made friends with a variety of streamers, some of which were Partners on Mixer. One of his friends, whom he was a channel mod for, became a Partner on Mixer just less than a month shy of it announcing its closure.
After the closure of Mixer in July 2020, Sycho and most of his friends moved to Twitch where it became a mainstay of their streaming careers.
Less than a month on Twitch, SychoSide became an affiliate and had a stronger following than he did on Mixer and streams more often than he had.
With its faults and all, SychoSide will remain on Twitch as he has tried other platforms and none felt right to him.
Where his future will go is uncertain but it's certain that he will grow from it.
